Summary
Bowl, porcelain, made in Arita, Hizen, Japan, c. 1700-1720; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze iron-red enamels and gold (the Imari-style palette), painted with three ogival shaped panels with flowers, and in between are bunches of mixed flower and leaves, with line bands at the foot and rim, the decoration repeated on the interior.
