Summary
Lid or cover for the old Chinese Jesuit porcelain teapot, decorated 'en grisaille' (in fine black enamels) with panels of domestic scenes of a master, his servant and his two dogs. Possibly the scenes are a misinterpretation of the story of the Prodigal son. Qianlong period.
