Summary
Bowl and cover, porcelain, deep bowl with shallow domed cover with bun-shaped finial, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, 1700-1730; decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with iron-oxide; painted with radiating panels of stiff leafy blooms terminating in prunus blossoms rather than asters, within ogival panels, repeated on the cover, rims dressed with brown iron-oxide bands.

The aster pattern was universal, but sometimes associated with the Islamic markets, and this may have been intended for the South East Asian market.
