Summary
One of a pair of old Japanese porcelain dishes, decorated in the Imari style in underglaze blue and rouge-de-fer with a central panel of prunus blossoms and bamboo; the cavetto decorated with flower heads and bamboo in green, rouge-de-fer and gold enamels. Spurious six character mark on the base of the Emperor Ch'eng Hua (A.D. 1465-1487), but eighteenth century.
