Summary
Plate, one of eight, porcelain, with twelve-lobed rim, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, circa 1700-1715; decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels (famille verte) and gold, the centre with a berried tree issuing from an ornamental rock on a terrace with a red fence, red line bands in the cavetto and around the rim, scattered chrysanthemum in yellow, red and blue on a ground of green foliate scrollwork; underside with a square seal mark in underglaze cobalt blue within a double circle. and flowers. The whole decorated in Famille Verte enamels.
