Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Ada Marion Nichols, Lady MacGeough Bond (1866-1955) by Mary Cowie, Mrs Charles Nichols (1837-1928), the sitter's mother. Painted by the sitter's mother, as a young woman, a head-and- shoulders portrait, in profile to right, wearing blue jacket and holding a pug. Ada Marion Nichols was born in 1866 at Hobart Tasmania. She was the daughter of Charles Nichols and Mary Cowie. She married Sir Walter William Adrian MacGeough Bond, son of Joshua Walter MacGeough Bond and Albertine Louise Alphonsine Shanahan, on 26 September 1901. She died on 30 October 1955 at London, Middlesex
