Longcase clock. Signed on the silvered dial Scott & Son PATENTEES Dublin. Hour Roman numerals with a subsidiary seconds dial above the centre having five second Arabic numerals. Steel hands painted black. The 2-train 8-day duration movement striking on a single bell. Unusual dead-beat escapement on the back plate. Wood rod pendulum. Brass-cased, led-filled pendulum bob. Brass-cased, led-filled driving weights. Veneer, snake rim (ouroboros) around bezel. Case designed by A. and J. Williamson. Associated modern winding key.
