Summary
A walnut framed high-back wing armchair, English, circa 1720. Covered in yellow brocatelle, with elaborately shaped top, wings and overswept arms, the seat with squab cushion and tasselled edge, standing on cabriole legs with pad feet and joined by stretchers, with a brass plaque attached to the front of the seat which states that 'HER MAJESTY QUEEN MARY SAT IN THIS CHAIR WHEN TAKING TEA IN THE GREAT HALL AT PACKWOOD HOUSE ON AUGUST 23RD 1927'.
