Summary
George III satinwood roll-top desk. Flat top, front. On two sets of four short drawers at sides, with two small and one large central roll top lids at with long drawer in centre. Drawer at back of leg space, which pulls forward. Drawer has tambour front. Mahogany inlay around edges of roll top lids, geometric fretwork around edges of other drawers. Drawers with round brass handles with stylised foliate design. Central roll top lid revealing six satinwood drawers with ivory handles, compartments, and a sliding leather lined writing slope. Other roll tops open with catch underneath. 1760 - 1820
