Summary
A mantel clock in an ebonised case of late 18th century design, the case ornamented by brass feet, finial and stringing. Urn finial on top. 2 train fusee movement withj anchor escapement and rise and fall regulation. Plain backplate signed “Grant, Fleet Street, London No 190”. Rack striking on a bell with pull repeat. Break arch brass dial with engraved spandrels, 2 circular convex white enamel dials in arch for strike silent and rise and fall regulation. Fine blued steel hands, silk lined fishscale frets to sides, narrow brass edge around base.
