Oil painting on canvas, Linda Constance Lucy, later Mrs Secker (c. 1867/8 - 1955) and Alianore Lucy (1894 - 1979) by George Harcourt RA (Dumbarton 1868 – Bushey 1947), 1896. Signed and dated, bottom left, Geo. Harcourt 1896. A double portrait of aunt and niece. An almost full-length portrait of Linda Constance Lucy, standing by a river in a white dress and wide brimmed hat. There are blue ribbons on both the hat and dress. She is looking directly at the spectator. She is holding an infant child, Alianore Lucy. She is wearing a white dress with a white band in her hair. They are holding hands, Alianore holds a flower in her other hand. Background features a landscape setting with a river to the left with a bridge and a cascade. Framed in large giltwood frame.
