Oil painting on canvas, Sir Henry Cameron Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy, 3rd Bt (1870-1944), as Deputy Lieutenant of Roxburghshire by Alfred Edward Borthwick (Scarborough 1871 – Edinburgh 1955), signed A. E. Borthwick on the bottom right. A three-quarter-length portrait, Sir Henry Cameron Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy, 3rd Bt (1870-1944), turned slightly right, facing the spectator, leaning with his hand on his glove, against a table on his right. He is holding a long-feathered military cap in his left hand. He is wearing the uniform of the Royal Company of Archers with five medals. A plain exterior background. Framed in large, giltwood frame with leaf detail features small wooden plaque which reads ‘Colonel Sir Henry Fairfax-Lucy. BR, C.B.,J.P.,DL. Presented by the Warwickshire Territorial Army and Air-Force Association in recognition of his Chairmanship of the Association. From 1907-1939’.
