Summary
Glass rectangular box (smaller than 533590) covered in white silk ribbon at all edges. Each corner has a silk bow with a pearl to the centre (only one pearl remains). Lined with quilted silk, stitched with diamond pattern and lined with silk ribbon with inlaid pearls. The box also contains; A small square note on white paper written in black ink ‘Lord Brook’s wedding favour April 30th 1881’ A painted ceramic candlestick holder featuring pink roses, blue flowers and green leaves. Base is lined with green paper. Two button holes/ favours made of white silk flowers with green leaves with white silk ribbon to the base. One slightly larger than the other. A spray of white silk flowers with green leaves held together with metal wire covered in light green ribbon. Two tiny model chickens with brown features and metal feet. Red beaks and plumage. Also contains loose flowers and pearls.
