Summary
An oak corner armchair, English or Welsh, mid- to late 18th century. With early 20th century replacement splats, carved '17' and '70'. Having a moulded cresting on the curved arm rest with circular terminals. Raised on a pair of later shaped, lozenge- and heart-pierced splats and three ring-turned columnar supports. The boarded seat raised on four chamfered square section legs joined by a cross stretcher.
