Summary
Box of striped socks in various colours. 12 burgundy and white, 10 navy and white, 9 brown and white, 4 wave and white. Each with a card of darning wool attached. Red 'F' embroidered at top of each sock. Label on box 'Turnbull and Asser Ltd, 71-2 Jermyn St, SW1'. Handritten on box 'socks 48 pairs 1 June 1963'. Address on box 'Rt Hon Lord Fairhaven, Anglesey Abbey'.
Provenance
Part of the Fairhaven Collection. The house and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1966 by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966)
