Summary
Crimson velvet table cover, wide border with a background of sequins creating 'chain mail', effect around motifs of flowerheads and foliage of laid, raised silver gilt thread embroidery. Probably Italian, possibly C17, with new lining and Velcro. Crimson velvet table cover, wide border applied with gilt thread of 'chain mail' design, overworked with flowerheads and foliage in silver gilt. Probably Italian C17.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
