Summary
Silver 2-handled oval soup tureen and cover on 4 scroll foliage feet chased above with panels of fluting with shells at centre, shaped gadrooned rim, reeded handles, cover with similar border to body, and with turnip and foliage finial, engraved with 2 coats of arms on body and another on the cover. George III by John Parker and Edward Wakelin 1765. Hallmarked on rim and base.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
