Summary
Silver tankard and cover on fluted foot, band of spiral fluting around lower part of body, domed fluted cover with corkscrew thumb-piece, scroll handle with feather-edged rat-tail. Upper part of body chased with infant bachanals and vines, and engraved with coat-of-arms. Frieze of later date. William III by John Edwards 1697. Stamped on handle and lid.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
