Summary
Silver mace, cylindrical shaft head formed of triangular scroll bracket supporting 3 gilt crowned eagles with feathers in beaks, flanking globe surmounted by seated figure of the mocked Christ. Globe engraved with signs of zodiac and sunface. Stamped at top of shaft. Engraved at base of triangle 'P#6-8-1S'. Italian C18.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
