Summary
Engraving, Windsor Castle ( after Sir Peter Lely) by Richard Bernard Godfrey (London 1728 - 1795). Published by Blyth, 1775. Figure on riverbank, castle beyond. Close trimmed. Mounted on paper, stuck down, same mount as PR/110-113. View of the castle with St George's chapel on the right, seen from the far side of the river with people gathered in the front, preparing for a hunt, including a man kneeling with two dogs in the right foreground; after Lely; illustration to the Antiquarian Repertory (London 1775-86).
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
