Portrait miniature, enamel painting, Princess Charlotte Augusta, Princess of Wales (1796–1817) (after Charlotte Jones) by Joseph Lee (Islington 1780 – Gravesend 1859) Three-quarter length portrait of a young woman, facing, head turned three-quarters to left, gazing to left, her left arm resting on a high table on the right, holding with her left hand a fold of your blue ermined-line robe. Blonde ringlets topped with an emerald and pearl circlet. She is wearing a white Empire-line dress with short sleeves, edged with pearls, an emerald and pearl necklace, brooch and bracelets and an emerald and pearl buckle on a blue ribbon belt. Red drape with gold fringe behind to right, crown on crimson cushion on the table on the right.e, Ornate gilt frame, inscribed 'HRH Prs Ch of Wales', on purple velvet ground. Signed Joseph Lee.
