Summary
Oil painting on panel, Spaniel with Dead Game in a Landscape by British (English) School, 19th century. A white and tan spaniel on the right, turned to the left, guarding dead game displayed on a small hillock beneath the trunk of a tree on the right, the dead game includes a hare, grouse and black grouse (badcock), distant view of mountains, blue sky with clouds.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
