Summary
Oil painting on board, 1st Life Guards in Regent's Park, with Daguerre's Diorama, in the manner of John Leech (London 1817 - London 1864). Road in Regent’s Park, leading from left to right, a troop of the 1st Life Guards, mounted cavalry are seen parading down from the left, figures of women and children on the pavements watching, trees to right and left, a large neo-classical porticoed building on the right.
Provenance
Given to Lord Fairhaven by George Bambridge of Wimpole, Christmas 1942; bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
