Summary
Pink leather presentation box, square on splayed base, gilt embossed borders. Gilt metal clasp. Top and two sides open out. Cream silk lining, beige velvet lining to base. Lining embossed 'Cartier, Paris London New York'. Empty - held a small pyramidal shaped object with a cross shaped base. Contains a fragment of polished bone.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
