Summary
An oak press cupboard or cwpwrdd deuddarn, Welsh, circa 1740. The upper section with central fielded panel flanked by a pair of similar doors and with drop finials to the overhanging frieze, the lower section with three frieze drawers and a pair of large four panel doors either side of twin panels, on stile feet, later handles and hinges. Shown on the Country Life photograph of Barby Lutyens in the Kitchen (c.Sept 1906), 511941.2.31.
