Summary
An ash Turner's chair, English or Welsh, early 17th century, the horizontal top rail with additional buttons, the triangular plank seat in oak and the turned front posts with large finials extending upwards.
Provenance
Purchased by Sir Arthur Paul Benthall (1902 – 1992) for Benthall Hall. Accepted in lieu of tax by H.M. Government in March 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992 and allocated to The National Trust for display at Benthall Hall.
