Print, engraving, Dudmaston House (after Samuel Evans) by Thomas Medland (Hertford 1755 - c.1823). Small engraving of Dudmaston Hall from the original drawing by Evans. The hall viewed from across the mill pond, surrounded by trees; cows in the foreground, standing under tree to the left; a rowing boat in the middle distance. Glazed in stained oak frame, carved border. Inscribed - Plate 18, Engraved by Medland....Original Drawing by Evans ....Published 1st Octr.1792 by Harrison and Co.No.18....London. 1792.
Provenance
Engraved by Thomas Medland in 1792 from the original drawing. Owned by Mary Clementina Benthall (1879-1960) and recorded in the 1957 list of pictures, furniture etc suggested for retention at Benthall Hall by the National Trust. Transferred to the ownership of the National Trust with the contents of Benthall Hall in the Deed Of Gift made by Mary Clementina Benthall and dated 8th August 1958. Recorded in the Inventory Of National Trust Property At Benthall Hall dated 1st October 1963.
