Summary
Plain circular tea bowl, and matching saucer, on foot ring and hand painted with the 'dartboard pattern'. Segmented medallion contained in floral wreath to centre field, flower sprays to exterior joined by mauve border. Mauve swag and gilt border to rim. Made circa 1775 - 1799 by Caughley Porcelain Works.
Provenance
Made in Shropshire circa 1775 - 1799. Owned by Sir Arthur Paul Benthall (1902 – 1992). Accepted in lieu of tax by H.M. Government in March 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992 and allocated to the National Trust for display at Benthall Hall.
