Summary
Saucer, raised on foot ring. Decorated in underglaze blue with floral sprays with fruit, blue line to rim. It is paired with 509461. Inscribed with a “C” printed mark in blue underglaze on underside. Made circa 1775 - 1799 by the Caughley Porcelain Works.
Provenance
Made in Shropshire circa 1775 - 1799. Owned by Sir Arthur Paul Benthall (1902 – 1992). Accepted in lieu of tax by H.M. Government in March 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992 and allocated to the National Trust for display at Benthall Hall.
