Summary
This item is a spirally fluted tea bowl saucer with a scalloped rim, raised on a foot ring and decorated with single flowers in pink, blue, yellow and green enamels and garland around interior rim. It has gilt line borders. It is completed with a matching tea bowl (509440.1). Made circa 1775 - 1799 by Caughley Porcelain Works.
Provenance
Made in Shropshire circa 1775 - 1799. Owned by Sir Arthur Paul Benthall (1902 – 1992). Accepted in lieu of tax by H.M. Government in March 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992 and allocated to The National Trust for display at Benthall Hall.
