Summary
Large circular coffee can saucer, part of a matching set with a coffee can (item 509402.1). Printed in underglaze blue with the 'Royal Lily' pattern, terracotta line and deep blue and gilt border to inner rim. Inscribed with a “C” on the underside, in the form of a printed mark in the underglaze in blue. Made circa 1775 - 1799.
Provenance
Item offered to the National Trust in lieu of tax from Sir Paul Benthall's estate, March 1993. Appears in Sotheby's 1993 Inventory p.10 .
