Summary
Miniature globular teapot with simple handle and raised on foot ring. Comes complete with dome cover with finial (509401.2). Printed in underglaze blue with chinoiserie landscape, diaper style borders around shoulder and edge to cover. Made circa 1775 - 1799 by Caughley Porcelain Works.
Provenance
Made in Shropshire circa 1775 - 1799. Owned by Sir Arthur Paul Benthall (1902 – 1992). Accepted in lieu of tax by H.M. Government in March 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992 and allocated to The National Trust for display at Benthall Hall.
