Summary
These items are four small circular pearlware sauce tureen stands to 509375.9. They have double moulded scroll handles and scalloped edge with gadrooned borders. Transfer printed in blue and over enamelled with insects amongst flowering plants. Gilt highlighting. Inscribed - ROGERS B (impressed mark C/010/08/A), B (impressed mark C/010/08/B-C), Floral (transfer printed mark in a wreath of flowers in underglaze blue on underside of C/010/08/A-C). Made circa 1820. Part of a 75 piece dinner service.
Provenance
Made in England circa 1820. Owned by Miss Phoebe and Miss Rosemary Waterfield and presented by them as a gift to the National Trust at Easter 1975, for display at Benthall Hall.
