Summary
This is a large circular pearlware stand to 509375.6, with double moulded scroll handles and scalloped edge with gadrooned borders. Transfer printed in blue and over enamelled with insects amongst flowering plants. Gilt highlighting. Inscribed - ROGERS W (impressed mark), Floral (transfer printed mark in a wreath of flowers in underglaze blue). Made circa 1820. Part of a 75 piece dinner service.
Provenance
Made in England circa 1820. Owned by Miss Phoebe and Miss Rosemary Waterfield and presented by them as a gift to the National Trust at Easter 1975, for display at Benthall Hall.
