Summary
This item is an oval pearlware plate with a scalloped edge and a gadrooned border. It is transfer printed in blue and over enamelled with insects amongst flowering plants. Inscribed - ROGERS 10 (impressed mark), Floral (transfer printed mark in a wreath of flowers in underglaze blue). Made circa 1820. Part of 75 piece dinner service.
Provenance
Made in England circa 1820. Owned by Miss Phoebe and Miss Rosemary Waterfield and presented by them as a gift to the National Trust at Easter 1975, for display at Benthall Hall.
