Summary
This item is a small oval pearlware serving / meat dish. It is one of two. It has a scalloped edge with gadrooned border. It is transfer printed in blue and over enamelled with insects amongst flowering plants. Inscribed - ROGERS 16 (impressed mark). Made circa 1820. Part of a 75 piece dinner service.
Provenance
Made in England circa 1820. Owned by Miss Phoebe and Miss Rosemary Waterfield and presented by them as a gift to the National Trust at Easter 1975, for display at Benthall Hall.
