Summary
These items are a pair of small oval pearlware serving / meat dishes. They are scalloped edge with gadrooned border. They are transfer printed in blue and over enamelled with insects amongst flowering plants. Inscribed - ROGERS 16 (impressed mark). Made circa 1820. Part of 75 piece dinner service.
Provenance
Made in England circa 1820. Owned by Miss Phoebe and Miss Rosemary Waterfield and presented by them as a gift to the National Trust at Easter 1975, for display at Benthall Hall.
