Summary
One of a pair of two stone Anglo-Saxon crosses. Two triangular-shaped arms to the sides, straight edged top and tapering trunk. All sides decorated with carved decoration. The front has an interlocking design, left side has a pattern resembling woven rope, right side has an interlocking design of square shapes; the back has a scrolling design. Mounted on a rough stone plinth.
Provenance
Removed to Lyme in the nineteenth century, they became integral to the property; property of National Trust. (stated on old inventory card)
