Summary
A thirty hour striking longcase clock in an oak case; made by G. Suggate. Flat top hood with glazed front and cornice with two scrolling pieces flanking a small column to the top; two brass topped, fluted columns either side of hood. Hood tapers to a plain trunk with moulded door and trunk tapers into a plain base with semi-circular piece at base standing on plain bracket feet. Square white enamel dial plate with painted spandrels with a repeat border of circular shapes around a pear and pineapple design with foliage. Chapter ring with black painted Arabic hour and five minute numbers; seconds dial, pierced hands and two winding holes in dial centre.
