Summary
A mid-seventeenth century oak carved chest with panelled sides, hinged-lid with iron lock, on bracket feet. The front is carved with guilloche and simple fluting with palmettes at the base; the eighteenth century bracket feet are later additions. Constructed with hand-made pegs.
Provenance
Left to the National Trust as a bequest by Mr. and Mrs. Straschnov in 2000. Previous history not available at the property.
