Summary
Oil painting on panel, Sir Thomas Cornwallis (1519 - 1604), British (English) School, mid-late 16th century. A three-quarter-length portrait of a man, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, seated, his left arm resting on the arm of his chair, his right hand on his waist, short hair, black hat, wearing a cream jerkin with cream buttons, a black coat, sword, large ruff and cloak trimmed with gold.
