Summary
Tapestry, wool and silk, Verdure with Animals, Flemish, c. 1625-1650. A wide landscape with wild animals. Two beasts fight in the centre, a stag runs through the trees in the left background and on the right there is a river with wildfowl. There are borders with flowers and leaves at the top and bottom, and slightly wider borders with baskets at the sides. The bottom of the lower border has been folded in. This tapestry is part of a set with nos. 494833 and 494842.
