Summary
Tapestry, wool and silk, Fragment with a Soldier and Angels. Possibly the left hand part of a larger tapestry, with the main focus being a soldier, one man in the foreground to the right and three people (possibly angels) above, also one man on horseback in the background. One large fragment found for CAN/T/8 (494837), kneeling armed figure and attendant in foreground; King on horseback with 2 figures in background. 295cmx191cm.

Purchased by the National Trust at the Canons Ashby Auction of Dryden Artefacts on the 4.7.1980 with the help of a grant from the Purchase Grant Fund.
