Summary
A small bank of drawers, or a cartonnier, of mahogany, burr elm and walnut veneers, English, late 18th/early 19th century. Originally the bank of drawers inside a secretaire. The top with a fielded panel edged with mouldings and veneered with burr elm. Fitted with three rows of drawers - four above three above two - all veneered in burr elm and crossbanded in walnut. Both long drawers fitted with divisions. With ebonized handles.
