Summary
A hide-covered pine travelling trunk, Great Britain, early to mid-18th century. With iron handles and locks. The hide fixed with metal studs and with metal studs forming the initials 'M Mc' within a concave-cornered reserve to the lid. The front with a foliate spray formed from metal studs. Lined to the interior with 20th century printed floral fabric. Paint used in places to disguise losses to hide.
