Summary

A mahogany torchère or pedestal stand, English, part late 18th century. Converted from a bed post, with a later circular dished top, turned column and raised on three cabriole legs and claw and ball feet.

Provenance

Bequest of the contents of Grantham House to the National Trust in 1944.
