Summary
Mahogany longcase clock. The square hood has a dentil moulded cornice, pierced spandrels below in imitation of Chinese fret work, two reeded columns at the front; the glass door with curved top. The clock has an early example of a white painted dial, with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic minutes, 5-60 second hand in a separate central dial, brass spandrels. Above the dial is a semi-circular arch with painted landscape and moon face, two dials in front for dates of the month and phases of the moon. The sill of the hood has blind fret moulding, case has a panelled door with ogee arch, two quarter reeded columns on the corners. The base has chamfered corners, moulding at the bottom and bracket feet.
