George William Wynter Blathwayt was the younger brother of Robert Wynter Blathwayt (1850–1936), who inherited Dyrham Park on the death of their father in 1909.
Summary
Oil painting on canvas, George William Wynter Blathwayt of Porlock Weir (1853-1934) by Francis Edward Crisp (1880-1915), signed and dated Frank Crisp 1911. A three-quarter-length, standing, portrait of George William Wynter Blathwayt, turned slightly to the left, with a well-trimmed grey beard and moustache, wearing a brown-grey suit, with a red-brown tie and gold watch-chain. His left hand is in his jacket pocket, and his right hand rests on an inlaid table, on which is placed his hat. The portrait is paired with Francis Crisp's portrait of the sitter's wife, Laura Grace Chadwick, Mrs Blathwayt.

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
