Summary
Longcase clock with cross banding, 30 hour movement with painted dial. Signed on the dial for Wm Preddy, Langport William Preddy was known to be working in Langport in 1822 having been born in Taunton in 1788. He moved to High Street, Bridgwater in 1839 and was working in Ilminster in 1842. He moved back to Taunton, at 105 East Street in 1851, where he is known to have retired and living with his son, the Clockmaker Charles Preddy
