Summary
A painted oak tester bedstead, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, circa 1780 The shaped pediment centred by an urn and cover and with scrolling foliate painted decoration, serpentine shaped cornice painted with an oval flower head patarea with wheat husk swags and a later valence below. Turned baluster posts flanking the foot board and painted with ribbons and bell flowers and further husk swags, the head board upholstered. Some of the painted decoration refreshed.
